Only the fundamental elements can be transmuted. Coniunctio is the act of merging these elements into one. A reincarnation. A brand new beginning. The recombination of opposing natures. The dawn of infinite possibilities. The union of the mystic with the divine. The relationship between light and darkness. The conscious and the unconscious. The space in which light unveils what is hidden.
By exploring the process of abstraction, Coniunctio encompasses images that look less like the subjects on which they are based, although they may still be recognizable in a unique personal perspective. In the most extreme type of abstraction, Coniunctio does not refer to any physical subject, and these nonrepresentational images are thus considered non-objective. The images mirror the artists’ energy and movement guided by the use of local recycled and chemical-free materials such as seeds, wood, paint and fabrics. They communicate with those who can read the language of their form.
Being the synthesis of intellect and emotion, the exhibition aims to communicate the coalescence of two artists as one creative entity. The oeuvre intends to stimulate the integration of the unconscious with the human conscious.
Sólo los elementos fundamentales pueden ser transformados. Coniuncio es el acto de unir estos elementos en uno. Un renacimiento. Una reencarnación. Un nuevo comienzo. La recombinación de naturalezas opuestas. El amanecer de infinitas posibilidades. La unión de lo místico con lo divino. La relación entre la luz y la oscuridad. El consciente y el inconsciente. El espacio en el que la luz revela lo oculto.
Al explorar el proceso de abstracción, Coniuncio proyecta imágenes que se asemejan poco a los sujetos empleados, aunque estas aún pueden ser reconocidas mediante una perspectiva personal única. En su forma más extrema de abstracción, Coniuncio no delimita ningún sujeto físico, por lo que estas imágenes no figurativas se consideran no objetivas. Las imágenes reflejan la energía y el movimiento de los artistas guiados por el uso de materiales locales reciclados y libres de químicos como semillas, madera, pintura y textiles. Se comunican con aquellos que pueden leer el lenguaje de su forma.
Siendo la síntesis del intelecto y la emoción, la exhibición tiene como objetivo comunicar la coalición de dos artistas como una entidad creativa. La obra pretende estimular la integración del inconsciente con el consciente humano.
